Reflection 11 Windows Movie Maker
What was the task to be completed?
Create a Video no more than 5 minutes based on a topic chosen from a subject of your choice for a specific grade.
Outline step-by-step instructions in how to complete the task
Upon opening the Movie maker app, a blank story board appeared which allowed me to add pictures and videos to that storyboard. These pictures and videos were from the internet and the videos I downloaded using YouTube downloader. After adding these videos, I switched them around into the order I wanted them to appear. From there I proceeded to adding a title and a credits page. On the Title page, I placed the Grade, Subject and Topic whilst on the title page, I placed the references (APA Format), Copyright License (Creative Commons), Name of Creator, date created and Producer. After fitting the requisite information, I added the effects I desired through animation. After completing this I then proceeded to save but I could only save as a project. Due this I ended up utilizing the NCH software which functioned the same as Windows Movie Maker however, it carried a more diverse option especially with animation.
What were the challenges faced in this class? If any' how were they overcome?
The challenge that I encountered within this class was saving on Windows movie maker. I downloaded a Trial version however, for some reason, I was unable to save my work. I then was guided by Mrs Roberts to download the NCH Software which allowed me to make my video with ease.
Was there anything new learnt as a result of this learning experience? If yes, what was it and how did you benefit from it?
In this class, I learnt how to create a video for my lessons or for any other purpose as a matter of fact.
Explain how you will use/implement what was learnt i the lesson in the classroom.
I can use this to create short videos for my students using a variety of pictures and other videos. It will also save time within lessons because I would not have to be looking for the videos separately.
