What was the task?
Identify the components of a Spreadsheet and complete an introductory exercise of How to create a grade book in Spreadsheet.
Outline Step-by-step instructions in how to complete the task.
I first participated in a class exercise to identify the different components of a Spreadsheet. After this, I opened a blank Excel file and saved it into my EDET folder. I then went back to Excel and used the instructions in 9.2 to complete the Grade book. The instructions will be provided in the link below. At the end of completing the above tasks inclusive of two other spreadsheet exercises, inclusive of a video, we had to e-mail them to the lecturer.
What were the challenges faced in doing this task, if any and how they were overcome.
Due to my familiarity of Microsoft Excel, I didn't encounter any difficulties.
Were there anything new learnt as a result of this teaching/learning experience? If yes, what was it and how did you benefit from it?
Due to my familiarity with maneuvering through Microsoft Excel, I did not learn anything new.
Explain how you will use/implement what was covered in the lesson, in your classroom.
I will utilize this as a tool to compile my grades for both the half term and end of term I can also utilize spreadsheet as a more efficient way to keep track of my students' attendance.
